SANA’A – The Armed Forces and the Popular Committees have fired a total of 8 simultaneous missile strikes against vital Saudi military and economic targets in the south of Saudi Arabia, in retaliation to continuous Saudi airstrikes against Yemen.
According to Yemen’s Al-Masirah news network, a military source confirmed that eight Badr-1 short-range ballistic missiles were launched on the Saudi province of Jizan on Saturday morning. The source furthermore confirmed that the missiles hit their intended “economic and vital targets” with high precision.
Yemen has repeatedly vowed to extract revenge on Saudi Arabia for its three-year long invasion war against Yemen. After the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad, who was known as a diplomatic politician open to negotiation and compromise in order to end the violence, newly elected President Mahdi al-Mashat has promised to step up retaliation attempts even more, in order to force the Saudis out of Yemen.
