SANA’A – Video footage released by the military media of the army forces showed the moment when the U.S. MQ-1- unmanned aircraft was hit over the sky of Hamdan district outskirt of Sanaa province.
The drone was “carrying out surveillance mission,” a military source said. The source confirmed that the air defenses targeted a modern hostile drone aircraft in the Hamdan district of Sana’a province, which caused it to crash immediately.
The US MQ1 aircraft comes from the latest series of aircraft manufactured by the United States Air Force General Atomics, and the flight steering and control crew consists of 82 people to carry out a 24-hour mission.
The destruction of such a highly advanced US-made unmanned aerial vehicle is a testimony to the professionalism and skill of the Yemeni air defenses.
