SANA’A – According to a report by Yemeni journalist Shawki Al-Fahidi that was published by Yemen Press, a close associate of Wahhabi leader Adel Al-Thabhani has revealed who is behind the string of targeted assassinations that have been terrorising Taiz province for the past months.
Fahidi reported on Monday that terrorist suicide bombing cells are operating in highly organised units all over Taiz, having their own field commanders and even a media office to record and spread news of their attacks.
The terrorists follow the command of Adel Al-Thabhani, who goes by the nickname of Abu al-Abbas, and officially claim membership of Daesh, the international takfiri terrorist organisation.
Fahidi furthermore claims that the group is internationally funded by the United Arab Emirates, in order to spread disorder and chaos across the province of Taiz. He added that this is part of an Emirati plan to accelerate the formation of the so-called “Security Belt” forces, a military unit of UAE soldiers and mercenaries that have taken over much of Southern Yemen. With terrorists running loose across Taiz, the UAE is allegedly planning to step in and “fight” the terrorists it originally funded, thus ensuring total Emirati domination of Taiz and its surrounding regions.
Taiz has been the scene of a horrifyingly long strike of assassinations of political, religious and military figures in the past months. One of the most recent victims was Omar Dukam, speaker of the Al-Essai Mosque.
