SANA’A -The Yemeni army has on Sunday fired 10 ballistic missiles on Jizan International Airport and other military targets in Jizan province, in the south of Saudi Arabia.
Military spokesman Yahya Sare’e confirmed that the medium-range missiles of the Badr-1 type hit the military targets accurately.
The missiles also targeted military facilities and aircraft hangars in the regional airport, causing a suspension in air traffic, the spokesman said.
Brigadier General Sare’e said the attacks come in retaliatory response to the Saudi war crimes and blockade against the Yemeni people.
Sare’e had noted that the missile force of the Yemeni army launched a newly-developed Nakal missile at the strongholds of Saudi soldiers and their mercenaries in al-Sadis area of the region, South of the Saudi capital Riyadh, on Sunday afternoon, leaving dozens of them killed and injured, Al-Masirah television network reported
