The Saudi invasion coalition’s troops and mercenaries have suffered several defeats over the past 48 hours, as troops from the Yemeni military and Popular Forces have carried out counteroffensives on several fronts at the same time.
What follows is a summary of some important blows dealt the the invading armies over the past two days.
In Jizan, a part of Greater Yemen that has been occupied by Saudi Arabia since 1934, Yemeni forces attacked Saudi military bases in the al-Khubah area, al-Dukhan and al-Matan, inflicting dozens of casualties.
In the border region of Najran, Yemeni missile forces and artillery shelled the Saudis at al-Makhruqa, al-Shabakah, Nile hilltop, Bawabat Salah, in al-Khadra crossing point, al-Talah, al-Dhabah and Abasih, hitting many bases directly. Also in Najran, the Missile Forces launched a Zilzal 2 ballistic missile upon Saudi-paid mercenaries in al-Abasih sites, and killed two Saudi soldiers in al-Shabakh.
In Saudi-controlled Asir province, Saudi militar forces were shelled in Sabahtle, al-Hadad camp, al-Hajab, Qalah Hassan in al-Rabu’ah city and Alib crossing point.
In Taiz province, in southwest Yemen, a top mercenary commander named Abdul Rahman al-Subihi was killed together with many of his troops. During another strike in the same province, a military vehicle carrying around 15 mercenaries was destroyed by Yemeni forces, killing all inside.
An offensive by Yemeni military and Popular Forces in the Taiz districts of al-Bawla,al-Jadir, al-Jarah and al-Asaws, killed and wounded dozens of hired guns of the Saudis.
In Medi in north Yemen, the army and popular forces killed two troops, while in the Jawf governorate, several top mercenary commanders were killed in al-Yatamah.
A Saudi attempt to infiltrate Thi Na’am distruct in the southern central Bayda governorate was thwarted by a stalwart Yemeni defence that drove the attackers back.
Missile units of the army and popular forces hit mercenary gatherings in Lahj province at the western front, as well as several waging an offensive against enemy sites at al-Manqaf hilltop in Karash district.
In short, the past few days have seen a staggering abundance of heroic counterattacks and defensive victories by the armed forces loyal to the Yemeni revolutionary government.
