SANA’A – A high-ranking officer loyal to the Saudi-led coalition was killed on Thursday in an attack carried out by the Yemeni army forces in Jawf province, northern Yemen, Yemeni Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The colonelو Falah Al Hajri (Kuwaiti origin) was killed in Sabrin district in army’s attack, the statement read.
According to the statement, the officer, ” Falah Al Hajri” worked for Saudi intelligence.
The Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie said in a statement that the army forces carried out a successful military operation in Sabrin area of Khab Waeshaf district, killing dozens of the militiamen, wounding others and destroying dozens military vehicles.
The spokesman indicated that the coalition fighter jets waged a series of strikes on the district to back its mercenaries during the attack.
